Little History
The Christian monks once found themselves facing a problem. While they only wanted to eat meat from terrestrial animals, their over-consumption of meat made them obese. So they banned meat on certain days. That’s how the monks started to taste frog legs. This habit is then considered as the beginning of the tradition of national consumption in France. Now, France imports between 3000 and 4000 tons each year it is the biggest consumer.
