AW Collection : Louise Kennedy
I chose to analyze the fashion article ''Style notes: luxury pieces worth the spend, trench coats to wrap up in, and pink clothes with a cause'' from The Independent.ie, specifically the first section about Louise Kennedy's new AW collection. This article was published on October 9, 2021 at 2:30 am by fashion editor Bairbre Power.

I think it was smart to publish this article after the fashion week because people could admire the designer pieces. That's why the L. Kennedy collection comes at the right time and offers luxury clothing at affordable prices for quality pieces.

Concerning the headline, I think it's too much because there are several repetitions to insist and put forward the subject and we can see that the editor is subjective to enhance the clothes. Nevertheless, I think the headline is very clear and creating a certain curiosity by not citing the collection that will be presented.

For the content, we can find a lexical field enhancing : "luxury, quality,..." to promote the brand of L. Kennedy but I find that the words used and the too poetic turn of phrases make the article false. The editor plays on the pathos by putting the reader on his side but this one is more exploited as an object of consumption than anything else : he is dehumanized.

In addition, the article highlights Louise Kennedy's words via quotes which are good since the reader has several opinions but alas, in my opinion, they are all subjective. For me, there is clearly a surplus of information that doesn't justify the length of this article which could be halved.

Regarding the photo of the influencer Rosie Connolly Quinn (who has 361K on instagram) present at the beginning of the article, it is not consistent because it shows a woman very made up, with extensions, false nails, ... far from being in line with the simple and natural items offered by the collection of L .Kennedy. The publisher used the notoriety to manipulate the reader (especially women and teenagers) for commercial purposes.

I can affirm that this article is complete and well organized, nothing is left to chance, the photos are harmonious and thanks to the dull background of the gallery, L. Kennedy's flashy product is more than highlighted.
Finally, this section ends with a sentence from Louise to further emphasize her wardrobe, the quality and the diversity of the choices she offers in her collection.
I can conclude that this article does not have much good content and above all exploits human weaknesses.
