Confessions : Sexy guy but boring
I chose to analyze the article ''Sexy guy I've liked for years wants a second date but he’s really boring'' published in the Britannic newspapers The Daily Mirror by Coleen Nolan at 09.41 p.m. on October 25, 2021.

The article starts with a picture of a smiling man with a very pejorative description : " I've fancied him for ages but he turned out to be really dull ", a quote whose author is unknown and where quotation marks are missing.

Concerning the very subjective headline which is once again an anonymous quote, it repeats the description of the photo, there are too many repetitions : ''sexy, boring,...'' but it is clear, we understand the subject. According to my, the answer is in the title because it is negative, if the boy is according to the person boring, she has to not see him, so why make an article ?
In terms of content, the article begins with a text from an anonymous person (I'll call her X) addressing Coleen. Again, the quotation marks are missing and the reader is more likely to see a conversation between two friends than a structured, informative and concrete article. The vocabulary is colloquial ('' sexy, guy ''), nonsensical by presenting the man with a pejorative vocabulary : '' boring, dull, clumsy '' or even as an object, first by being interested in him only by his physical appearance, then by asking ''if it was possible to make someone less boring'' as we find in the question at the end of X's message, and finally by never mentioning his first name.

This is clearly not an article because, first of all, you don't know who is speaking in the first paragraph, whereas when you insert quotations in an article, you have to mention the name, surname and profession.

Moreover, the photo is useless and random, the man didn't ask for anything to be associated with an "article" belittling him in this way.
Secondly, Coleen is a singer, so I don't understand why she is the author of this article and why she takes the role of a marriage counselor. For me, anyone can publish an article in this newspaper, there is a big lack of professionalism.

The article is getting worse and worse, between the ads on the side each more ridiculous than the last and the intervention that separates X's message from Coleen's by asking the viewer's opinion on the situation, nothing makes sense. This is exemplified by comments like JLMMMM (November 7,2021) " Keep tight hold of him- a good looking guy on your arm is like a gold medal around your neck " which is just aberrant as the content provided in the article.

Nothing is structured, Coleen starts his sentence with "ok", it seems like we just copied and pasted messages from this newspaper.

The sentence at the end reflects the level of the article (very low) : " It is possible to be good looking and boring ! ", it brings absolutely nothing and it is too subjective, not argued bringing a pejorative image that teenagers could identify with.

I don't like at all this kind of article which according to me are not articles of other subjects much more existential deserve to be raised and better.
