I chose to analyze the video of Reuters "Xavi returns to Barcelona with a hero's welcome" published in the Irish Times newspaper on November 8, 2021 talking about the return of the former footballer Xavi to Barcelona as Coach of Barca.

The video begins with an introduction illustrated by different shots in the Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona. The images are in line with the text and illustrate perfectly the announced words.

Concerning the text, I find it complete, the fact of underlining the main elements in yellow is very intelligent and really useful since it allows the spectator to understand quickly the subject.

In my opinion, everything is well structured, the plans are chronological, in connection with the information delivered.
The images highlight the atmosphere of the stadium, the joyful fans raising their flag applauding Xavi who is back after a long period of absence as presented in the second shot.

The video continues with the speech of Xavi which allows having a subjective and personal side enriching more the video. Moreover, the native language of the speech is kept to deliver a certain truth impacting more the spectator.

In the speech, we find the lexical field of determination, the most poignant passages are kept and are very well chosen because they allow illustrating perfectly the subject announced in the title. The same goes for the images with hugs, smiles, applause,...
The sounds are good and thoughtful because when the director wants to highlight the admiration, he puts the sound of the stadium, the applause, the screams preventing him from speaking, ... similarly when he wants to highlight the speech of Xavi, the background noise is cut, we hear only him.

There are different shots, allowing to captivate the reader throughout the viewing.

Regarding the end of the video, I think it is as qualitative as the rest, the last shot focuses on the main subject : Xavi saying goodbye to the people as if he was saying goodbye to the viewer. This shot allows the viewer to be more involved and interested in the subject.

In my opinion, this video is complete, well structured and well thought out on all levels. The length of the video is good, the shots are as illustrative as descriptive and have a fundamental role, the text is important, well written, there is no unnecessary information.
